Occupy Oakland Committees

Everyone who supports our occupation should join one of our committees.  The best way is to plug in is just come down and occupy the space–even for a few hours, emails you send may not get a quick response.  To see the online information from the committees see Committee Posts

Working Groups (and Caucuses) of the General Assembly

The Logistics Committee(s)

Has many subcommittees that handle all of the day-to-day tasks and services that make our occupation possible on a physical level.  These subcommittees meet together, as one big “Camp Meeting”, every morning 930 AM, on the stairs by the north side of the plaza.  To contact or join many of these subcommittees you generally need to find them physically in the camp, most have their headquarters in a tent and are “operating” almost 24 hours a day.  A few of these committees have an email or online presence

  • Supply Committee: occupyoaksupply@gmail.com  They coordinate all our equipment and supply needs. Contact them if you have questions about donations. Please Note: You do not need to write them if you want to donate, you can also just bring needed items down to the supply tent at 14th and Broadway.
  • Childcare
  • Medical This is a tent providing medical and health services.  It is located at the north west corner of the plaza, between the lightpoles.  [Contact]
